This year, the award for the best leading role in television productions goes to David Constantin for his role in «Tschugger». Clarina Sierro receives the award for best supporting role in the crime series «Hors saison», Meryl Marty receives the newcomer award for her role in «Die Beschatter» and Lale Yavaş receives the jury’s special award for her two roles in “Neumatt II” and «Die Beschatter».
Since 2001, the «PRIX SWISSPERFORM» has been awarded annually for acting performances in television films. This year, for the first time, it was decided not to differentiate the prize according to gender. Instead, the young talent award would be introduced in addition. Each of the four categories is endowed with CHF 10’000.–. The jury this year consists of film producer Judith Lichtneckert, actor Samuel Streiff and Niccolò Castelli, director and artistic director of the Solothurn Film Festival.
Following the award ceremony, the world premiere of the new season of «Neumatt II» took place in the Reithalle in Solothurn, in the presence of the showrunner of the series Marianne Wendt, the directors Andrea Štaka and Christian Johannes Koch, the protagonists of the series, the crew and the production team.
