BECAUSE CULTURE IS A VALUABLE ASSET.

In the 2025 financial year, SWISSPERFORM generated tariff revenue of CHF 63.6 million, representing an increase of CHF 0.8 million or 1.3% compared to the previous year. In terms of tariff revenue, 2025 marks the most successful year in SWISSPERFORM’s 32-year history. The positive business performance was mainly driven by higher income from performance rights and private copying levies (blank media levies).

In 2025, SWISSPERFORM succeeded in sustainably reducing costs, which also led to a decrease in the administrative cost ratio. The share of costs relative to revenue amounted to 11.04% net (previous year: 11.22%), while the gross ratio (including collection costs of our sister societies) reached 14.88% (previous year: 14.91%). Almost all expense items were reduced compared to the previous year.

As at the end of 2025, the association counted 27,794 members and mandate holders. Growth in 2025 amounted to 1,660 right holders (+6.35%). The largest absolute increase was recorded among audio performers, with 1,229 new right holders (+5.87%), while phonogram producers saw an increase of 241 persons (+11.68%). Once again, SWISSPERFORM invested approximately CHF 6.3 million through its foundations in cultural and social funding.

At the Delegates’ Assembly, in addition to the usual statutory items on the agenda, the following elections were held:

Elections
Board of Directors: By-elections of Expert Committee Representatives and Deputy
Phonogram producers:
A by-election to the Board of Directors took place following the resignation of Lorenz Haas. Stefan Planta was elected as an Expert Committee Representative to the Board. Lorenz Haas will now act as Deputy to the Expert Committee Representative on the Board. The remaining term of office is three years.

Broadcasters:
Following the resignation of Catherine Mettraux Kauthen, Simon Gsteiger was newly appointed as an Expert Committee Representative to the Board. The remaining term of office is three years.

Expert Committee Members: By-elections
Phonogram producers:
Following the resignation of Fabienne Schmuki and Jörg Glauner, the Expert Committee decided not to fill these positions for the time being. A replacement is currently not deemed necessary. The statutory minimum size of five members is thus maintained.

Broadcasters:
Following the resignation of Catherine Mettraux Kauthen and Rinaldo Somaini, Simon Gsteiger was elected as the Expert Committee Representative to the Board and, in this capacity, was also appointed Chairman of the Expert Committee. Fanny Ambühl was elected as an Expert Committee Member. The remaining term of office is three years.

Foundation Boards: By-elections
Foundation for Radio and Culture Switzerland (SRCS)
Following the resignations of Barbara Gysi and Frederik Stucki, Alice Reinhard and Michael Schuler were newly elected. The remaining term of office is three years.

Immediate Abolition of the Advisory Committee
The advisory committee previously reviewed grants from the cultural foundations in the phonogram sector exceeding CHF 50,000.– and acted as an additional control body. In practice, these controls are already sufficiently ensured by existing structures, making a separate body no longer necessary. The Delegates’ Assembly approved the immediate abolition of the advisory committee without replacement.

New Allocation of Delegate Seats / Expert Committee Audiovisual Performers
The Assembly of Delegates has rejected the proposal of the Expert Committee of audiovisual performers to standardise the number of delegate seats to ten per group as well as to amend the statutes, with effect from 1 January 2029. The current allocation therefore remains unchanged: 12 seats for audio performers and phonogram producers, 8 seats for audiovisual performers and producers, and 10 seats for broadcasters.

Amendments to the Articles of Association
The Articles of Association were amended in a targeted manner: invitations to the Delegates’ Assembly may now also be sent by e-mail, and the Board of Directors is explicitly authorised to make purely editorial amendments.

The next SWISSPERFORM Delegates’ Assembly will take place on 9 June 2027.
