Biography
Aglaja Amadò, born in Lugano (Switzerland), studied acting in London, New York, and Los Angeles, where she graduated in 2009 from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After taking part in several independent productions in the United States, she returned to Switzerland in 2010 and began working in the audiovisual field.
In 2014, she produced the short film «Carvina», which was screened at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2015.
Since 2015, she has been teaching theatre to children and young people, combining training, creativity, and educational values.
In 2023, she founded and currently directs the Associazione Culturale Lumina in Ticino, which promotes social inclusion and intercultural dialogue through art. One of its key projects is «Le Tre Porte» (2024), an anti-racism initiative that reached over 1’200 people, mainly students, with support from public and private institutions.
In 2025, together with Lumina and Scuola Musicando, she created the interactive theatre-musical production «Il mistero delle note scomparse», aimed at children.
Aglaja Amadò’s work combines acting, production, and teaching, reflecting a strong commitment to cultural and social engagement.
